Registration FAQ's and Answers

Q. During registration I saw a blank screen after I hit submit. What does that mean?
A. If there is an error on the information being submitted the page will display a blank page after submission. The most common reason for this would be trying to register with a number that exists already. The underlying code of the web site is new this year and some things like this still need to be worked out. If you can't seem to resolve the issue please send a note to the race administrator for resolution or post a question in the forum.

Q. My truck isn't ready, what should I do during the registration?
A. There is a link on the truck upload page that lets you skip the step. You can then use the truck upload link in the menu to submit a truck.

Q. I submitted a truck but now I want to make a change to the paint scheme. Can I upload a new truck file?
A. Feel free to upload the truck. We'd like if you could maintain only one truck file within the repository. It helps to ensure that each driver sees your truck and that the truck paint scheme shows up on the video broadcast.

Q. I have some friends who want to register, can I reserve a number for them?
A. The fact of the matter is if you know all of the information you could register them. We'd prefer that they register themselves. If someone registers another and then that person doesn't participate it creates additional administration for us and ties up a number that someone may have wanted. Please get your friends to come in and do it themselves.

Q. I submitted everything including my truck and my donation. When will the web site reflect that I am in good standing?
A. We typically update the driver information page quickly, usually within the same day we have the information. The treasurer for the league records the payment and forwards the information to the web admin. Because there are several steps in the process, sometimes it takes some time. In addition there are times when we will have personal commitments. Please be patient for as a rule we'll be timely.

Q. I don't want to use PayPal, is there any other way that I can send a donation?
A. NASS will accept a personal check. We request that you send an e-mail to the race admin as we don't wish to post our treasurers personal information on the web site.

A. Sure, this is no problem. You can click on the PayPal link in the left hand column on any page in the web site.

Q. Where can I download the race broadcast?
A. Shortly after the race an e-mail will be sent to all participants with a link. A link will also be provided in the forum.

A. They are/will be available via the press room.

Q. I'd like to submit a profile for the Press Room, how is that done?
A. The format is whatever you want it to be. Check in the forum for some suggestions of what you might share with our fans. Once you've got some ideas on paper, send them to the race admin and he'll be in contact about where to go from there.

Q. I have a conflict and I can't run the qualifiers; can I run the last chance races?
A. The qualifiers are on Saturday and the last chance is on Sunday. The consolation is late enough for some to jump in if they have a commitment and can't get there for the Saturday 8pm slot. The last chance race is on Sunday in case Saturday is completely out of the question.

A. Because the funds are for charity, our policy is to forgo refunds.

Q. How can someone watch the race broadcast?
A. The race can be viewed from the RLMTV web site. Anyone with an Internet connection and Windows Media Player should be enabled to watch the race. We will share some more detail on this as the race draws near.
